I am a retired 72 year old woman who has struggled with  extreme dieting for most of my life. I had feelings of guilt, shame and failure that negatively impacted every area of my life. I tried so many diets that ultimately circled back to more weight gain.

Dr Hong’s program is not another Diet Plan. It is a journey. The journey encourages and supports

FAQs

  • I understand this is a behaviour program, but will you be talking about food or weight at all?

Yes! The first module is all about about the foundations of building healthy food habits and you will learn how to build your plan based on your own preferences. However, the focus will be on health and sustainability and not temporary weight loss.

  • Will you provide a meal plan?

A meal plan template will be offered so that you can build a plan based on your preferences.

  • Can I pay month to month?

This is a 6-month program with modules designed for you to have the best chance of long-term success. The groups will be kept small to maximize the benefits of group learning. It will adversely affect the dynamic if there are participants coming in and out of the group. For this reason, we ask that clients make a firm 6 month commitment. The payment plan reflects this goal.

  • What is your refund policy?

There are no refunds once the payment is made and the enrolment form is submitted.

  • What if I miss a live session?

The sessions will be recorded with a live replay by request. The recording will not be distributed to maintain the confidentiality of the sessions.

  • Will the groups be confidential?

The enrolment form will include a confidentiality agreement. However, there are limits to how much confidentiality can be protected since FACEBOOK and gmail are not HIPPA compliant. Please do not post any sensitive information on FACEBOOK or through gmail.

  • Will medications and medical concerns be covered?

The intake form will ask basic medical questions to ensure the participant is safe to proceed.
However, this is not a medical program. This is a non-medical coaching program. Specific medical questions and concerns cannot be addressed. Posts asking medical questions will have to be deleted.

  • How can I see Dr. Hong for medical concerns?

Ontario residents can have their family MD refer to to  Dr. Hong for a consultation and follow-up q 3-6 months if necessary for medication or medical follow-up.  These visits are covered by OHIP.  These are medical visits and not coaching visits.
