If you are reading this,  you might be at a point where you feel stuck in your professional or personal life. Your best logic alone is not serving you, and you wonder how much longer you should just not deal with it. This is all the more frustrating because you’re an intelligent, accomplished person!

The most well-known names in the corporate world all have coaches for a good reason. Coaches help high performers like you notice their thinking and elicit awarenesses and fresh perspectives that come from a skilled dialogue.

I didn’t learn any of this in medical school. As a physician and a therapist, I am trained to look for and treat disease, illness, and brokenness.

The Beauty of Coaching

The beauty of the coaching approach is that I assume you are already healthy, whole and resourceful. There is nothing wrong with you and there is nothing to fix. What you need is a skilled and guided conversation so you can use your own strengths and resources to do what is important to you.

This is a powerful curation of change. It is full of hope, and fresh perspectives with the purpose of moving you towards what matters to you, the client. I love being a part of this meaningful and energizing process.

“You cannot transit wisdom and insight to another person. The seed is already there. A good teacher touches the seed, allowing it to wake up, to sprout, and to grow.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

Who should you trust?

There are hundreds of different “coach training programs,” with a wide range of approaches.

It might be important for you to know that my coaching methodology is a trusted approach backed by research and evidence. It is supported by research in both Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Both therapeutic approaches have established adaptations for coaching.

I am also a coach that adheres to the ethics and standards of the International Coaching Federation. The ICF has quickly become the “gold standard” of professional coaching. I continue to earn continuing education credits from organizations accredited by the ICF.

Who are my Clients?

My clients are high-performing professionals from business owners to psychologists. (Yes, psychologists benefit from coaching, too.) Feeling stuck or needing clarity is universal, whether you are the CEO of your household or a multinational corporation. How long do you want to be trapped in your own thinking?

“You have exactly one life in which to do everything you’ll ever do. Act accordingly. – Colin Wright

FAQs

  • Do you provide coaching for weight loss?

Yes! My weight management coaching is called Best Chance for Best Weight. It is a small group coaching program. Please check the Weight Loss button under Programs.

  • Are you a therapist?

I am a family doctor and I do provide therapy for Binge Eating Disorder. However, coaching is NOT therapy and any mental health concerns should be seen by a health professional and not a coach.  I do not book or provide any therapy through this site. Please contact my medical office at northtorontomedical@gmail.com if you are inquiring about therapy. Ontario residents only.

  • What is the difference between a coach and a mentor?

If you are looking for advice and be told what to do in the very specific area in which you work, then you might need a mentor. A professional coach is not an advice-giver. What would I know about you and your situation? You are the expert of you.  As a coach, I listen to what you are saying, connect the dots and ask you questions to elicit your own awarenesses.
